Jackie van Niekerk is the Chief Executive Officer of Attacq. She has over 14 years of experience in the property industry. Prior to joining Attacq, she was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Pivotal Property Fund in 2009, becoming the youngest and only woman Chief Executive Officer in the property sector at the time. During her tenure at Pivotal, she grew the fund to a R12 billion listed development fund. She established the company’s offshore strategy by successfully concluding the merger of Mara and Delta Africa to create the MaraDelta Africa fund and acquired an equity stake in Echo Property Polska based in Poland. At the end of 2016, she successfully concluded the merger between Pivotal and Redefine Properties. Jackie joined Attacq as the Chief Operating Officer in June 2018 and was appointed to the board in June 2018.

Izak Petersen is the Chief Executive Officer of Dipula Income Fund. He is a qualified chartered accountant. He began his career at Deloitte and later moved to work for the same company in the USA. Upon returning home, he joined the structured products team at PSG Investment Bank. He has served and continues to serve on several company boards and industry bodies in an executive and non-executive capacity. The most notable industry bodies he served on include SA REIT’s Association, SAPOA, ABASA Western Cape and ABSIP Western Cape and National. Izak co-founded the Mergence Group of companies, which led to the formation of the Mergence Africa Property Fund, which later merged with Dipula Property Fund and listed Dipula Income Fund in August 2011. He spearheaded property and other unlisted investment and investment management ventures in South Africa and other parts of the continent. He is a serial entrepreneur that is passionate about starting new ventures and has led the Dipula team for the past decade and steered it to the current R9.3 billion JSE listed REIT.

Estienne de Klerk is the Chief Executive Officer of Growthpoint. He has over 25 years of experience in the listed property sector. During his career, he has been involved in various corporate action such as take-overs, mergers and acquisitions, transformation deals and capital raises. In 2002, he joined the Investec Property Group’s property fund management business where he was appointed Fund Manager and Executive Director of Metboard. Later, he became Executive Director and Group Managing Director of Growthpoint before being appointed Chief Executive Officer (SA). Estienne is Chairman of the SA REIT and is a former President of the South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA) and represented the industry in the Property Sector Charter negotiations.

He has been recognised in a variety of investment market surveys, including top ranks by the Institutional Investor (II) and Extel surveys, both for the team he manages and on an individual basis. He currently sits on the European Public Real Estate Association’s (EPRA) Reporting and Accounting Committee and has advised the Bank of England’s Commercial Property Forum. He has also been a guest lecturer at IESE Business School’s MBA Programme.

Howard Penny is Head of Institutional Sales & Research Analyst at Anchor Stockbrokers. His extensive expertise ranges from sell-side equity research as a top-rated analyst, buy-side portfolio management and senior management of listed property companies. He started his sell-side career at Macquarie and thereafter RMB Morgan Stanley where he achieved top ratings in FM Top Analyst Awards, Extel and Institutional Investor Awards in various research, sales and corporate access categories. Subsequently, he joined the listed property sector as a senior executive working in offshore acquisitions across Europe where he sourced, secured and executed over Euro 440m of warehouse and retail acquisitions and developments. Howard is an active member and served as the previous deputy chairman of SAICA and is currently a member of SAREIT’s Marketing Committee.

Thabo Letlaka is the acting joint Chief Investment Officer of the Eskom Pension and Provident Fund. He has been with the Fund for over three years and was employed as the Deputy Chief Investment Officer to focus on the Fund’s Liability Driven Investment strategy. The internal listed property team, internal fixed income team, internal listed passive and listed core equity teams report into him. He spent a significant amount of time at the Fund working closely with the developmental impact investments team which focusses on the Fund’s unlisted impact investments by investing in low income/affordable housing, rural/township retail, education, healthcare and SMEs.

Ndabe Mkhize is the Chief Investment Officer of the Eskom Pension and Provident Fund (EPPF) where he has oversight over assets worth over R170 billion (circa US$12 billion) and manages the 22-member investment management unit of the Fund. Ndabe has been involved in the financial services industry for more than 22 years, starting in the actuarial field with Old Mutual in 1998; and then moved to the asset management industry in 2003 – occupying roles that ranged from Equity Analyst to Portfolio Manager for various asset managers including Coronation Fund Managers, Prudential Investment Managers, and STANLIB Asset Management. He is the inaugural chairman of the Asset Owners Forum South Africa (AOFSA) and sits on the SA government’s Infrastructure Investment Committee. He is a member of the advisory board of the African Green Infrastructure Investment Bank, and he is chairman of the IG Markets South Africa, which is a subsidiary of the IG Group, a FTSE 250 global leader in the provision of online trading and OTC derivatives. He is also an independent non-executive director of the JSE-listed Fairvest Property Fund, where he serves as chair of its Audit & Risk Committee.

Yusuf Mowlana is a Portfolio Manager at Prudential Investment Managers. Yusuf has eight years’ industry experience and is currently the joint Portfolio Manager of the Prudential Equity Fund and the Portfolio Manager of the Property and Enhanced SA Property Tracker Funds. He also oversees property allocations within Prudential’s multi-asset funds and equities for Namibian clients. Nesi Chetty is a Fund Manager and Head of Property at STANLIB. He is a regular market commentator with over 19 years of experience in property, equities and the broader financial markets. Nesi currently manages the largest property fund in South Africa, the STANLIB Property Income Fund. P rior to STANLIB, Nesi was a fund manager and the Head of Property at MMI Holdings where he was responsible for overall research and fund management of the Listed Property team. Chris Yelland is the founder and Managing Director at EE Publishers, the publisher of EngineerIT, Energize, Vector and PositionIT magazines. After the closure of EE Publishers on 29 November 2019, Chris started a new company, EE Business Intelligence, to focus on critical strategic issues facing the electricity, energy and ICT sectors in South Africa and the region. In February 2020, Chris was appointed Associate Consultant for leading financial services and capital markets research group, Intellidex, and energy advisor to OUTA (Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse). He has won multiple awards through the years, including the South African Bureau of Standards Media Award for “exceptional contribution to increasing the awareness of standardisation and related issues through the media”; a merit award in the Energy category of the 2003 Siemens Profile Awards, “recognising journalistic contribution to excellence in the field of science and technology”; the ABB Technology Journalist of the Year Award; the South African National Energy Association (SANEA) Journalism Award for “special efforts within the field of journalism to promote greater understanding of energy and its role in sustaining human endeavours”; and South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE) President’s Award for “his outstanding contribution to the South African electrical engineering industry”. Chris is a fellow of the SAIEE, a senior member of the IEEE (USA), and a member of the IET (UK). He is also a registered Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council in the UK.

Paul O’Flaherty is a well-known South African business leader and the CEO of EY- Parthenon, and specialises in unlocking long-term value for shareholders, governments, labour, employees, as well as the needs of the society in which a company operates. He has previously served as a CFO and CEO at listed companies and in the public sector. In these roles, he played a key role in successful turnarounds, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions and project management. He believes some of the major challenges large companies face today include issues around the environment- particularly climate change and greenhouse gasses. Paul is an advocate of working with his clients to unlock long-term value. He helps his clients find the balance between returning maximum shareholders’ profit and management responsibility to plan for sustainability beyond the immediate future, for their business employees, communities and the environment. These clients include shareholders, governments, labour, employees, as well as the society in which a company operates.

Arvana Singh is Head of Sustainable Finance Solutions at Nedbank Corporate Investment Banking (CIB). She holds extensive investment banking and sustainable finance experience having arranged over R8.5 billion equivalent of green bonds and climate loans over the last three years thereby placing Nedbank at the forefront of this space. Arvana formulated a market leading sustainability issuance framework for Nedbank and structured its inaugural green renewable energy bonds, subsequent Tier 2 green capital instruments and inaugural Green Housing Bond in 2021. The green renewable energy bond instruments were endorsed by international and global investors and achieved the African Banker Energy Deal of the Year Award and the Impact Initiative of the Year Award for Africa from Environmental Finance. The Tier 2 Green Bond deal resulted in Nedbank being named as the Best Sustainable Finance Bank in Africa by Euromoney in 2021. Arvana is also developing ESG themed loan financings with clients across sectors and holds a vast knowledge on sustainable finance structuring.

Ann-Maree Tippoo is a Portfolio Manager at Ninety One South Africa. She began her investment management career at Atlantic Asset Management, where she worked as an Intern and Junior Analyst in 2012. In 2013 she joined Ninety One as an ESG Investment Analyst and later changed roles to Equity Analyst focusing on the healthcare, hotel and leisure, construction and listed property sectors. In 2018 she became a Portfolio Manager for South African Listed Real Estate. Ann-Maree is. Ann-Maree was a guest lecturer at the University of Cape Town and MANCOSA and is a board member of the Abe Bailey Trust.

Steve Nicholls is Head Mitigation Manager at Presidential Climate Commissions. For the last decade, he has focused on the economic impact of the global response to climate change, including advising companies and government on sectoral level impacts and responses. Anelisa Keke is Head of ESG at Redefine Properties and is widely regarded as the go-to source as a remuneration practitioner, a keynote speaker and editor. She is responsible for further evolving Redefine’s ESG strategy to achieve the application of best practice ESG principles in the management of Redefine’s real estate assets. Paul Badrick is Head of Public Practice and Listed Companies at BDO South Africa. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, member of the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors and registered auditor for the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. He has held various positions in commerce and at PWC before joining BDO as a partner in 2006. Since then, he has held many leadership positions within BDO and is currently a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Additionally, Paul is the Sector Head for Real Estate and Construction (“REC”) in South Africa and is a member of the global BDO REC Steering Committee. Many of Paul’s clients are listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, and while he has a broad range of experience in the financial services, advertising, media and technology sectors, his speciality is REITs.

Chris Reddy is a Portfolio Manager and Senior Analyst at All Weather Capital. He has extensive experience in capital markets after spending over 17 years in equities, fixed income, corporate finance, and strategy consulting. Morné Wilken is the Chief Executive Officer of Hyprop Investments. He is a qualified Industrial Engineer with significant property and corporate finance experience which he garnered from working at RMB/FirstRand for ten years. Morné later went on to lead teams at Atterbury Properties and Attacq Limited, focusing on rolling out the Waterfall Development in Gauteng. Morné served as the Chief Executive Officer of Attacq from 2011 to 2017 and MAS Real Estate from January to December 2018, before joining Hyprop as Chief Executive Officer in January 2019.

Amelia Beattie is Chief Executive of Liberty Two Degrees. Her experience spans 21 years in the property sector, initially established at Old Mutual Property in various positions before exiting her role as the Chief Operations Officer. In 2012, Amelia joined STANLIB to establish STANLIB’s Direct Property Investment business. Passionate about serving the property sector, she was President of the South African Association (SAPOA) from 2014 to 2015; she is the past Chairperson of Women’s Property Network (WPN) and served as a trustee for the education trusts of WPN and SAPOA until 2018. Leon Kok is the Chief Operating Officer of Redefine Properties. He is a Chartered Accountant with an excellent blend of operational experience, sound business acumen and technical accounting knowledge. Leon joined Redefine in 2014 as Financial Director. He was subsequently elected as Chief Operating Officer in February 2021 and is responsible for all aspects of the asset and property management at Redefine, which includes the general administration of the property portfolio. Before to joining Redefine, he served 13 years at Peermont Global Limited.

Naeem Tilly is Head of Research at Sesfikile Capital. Dominique Moerenhout is the voice of the publicly traded European real estate sector, and Chief Executive Officer of EPRA (European Public Real Estate Association). He joined EPRA in 2017, moving from BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management where he was CEO for Luxembourg and Belgium (2014-2017). After working in private banking followed by five years in management consulting, he joined Fortis Private Real Estate in 2004 as COO until 2011, before moving as COO of BNP Paribas Real Estate UK.

Geoff Jennett is the Chief Executive Officer of Emira Property Fund. He has over 20 years’ deal-making experience in the financial markets, particularly in the structured capital markets and the corporate equity derivatives spaces. Darryl Mayers is the Joint Chief Executive Officer of Investec Property Fund. Since the late 1980s, Darryl has been involved in various roles in the property industry. After spending eight years at Investec, four years of which were with Investec Property, Darryl acquired Vered Estates Proprietary Limited in 2002 and fulfilled the role of Managing Director until 2008 when he re-joined Investec Property. Darryl has since held various leadership roles within Investec Property, including the Head of Retail Developments and the Head of the South African Trading and Development business until his appointment as Joint Chief Executive Officer of the Fund in December 2018.

John Worth is the Executive Vice President: Research and Investor Outreach at Nareit. In this capacity, he leads Nareit's internal and external research efforts and directs the Association's investor outreach and education initiatives. He was a primary author of the Bush Administration proposal that became the Pension Protection Act of 2006. After 2006 John was deeply engaged in housing and financial crisis response, including developing and executing TARP programs. Additionally, John was one of the primary architects of the homeowner assistance and mortgage modification programs. Worth also worked as a Consultant for Welch Consulting and the RAND Corporation.

Des de Beer is the Chief Executive Officer of Resilient REIT Limited. He has significant experience in property investment and management. De Beer spent his early career in the banking industry in South Africa, culminating in his appointment as General Manager Corporate Equity and member of the executive committee at Nedcor Investment Bank. Des is a founder of Resilient REIT Limited, where he has served as the Chief Executive Officer since its listing in 2002. He was also a founder of New Europe Property Investments plc and its successor NEPI Rockcastle plc. In addition, Des is a Non-executive Director of Lighthouse Properties plc and Hammerson plc.

Greg Wright is the Chief Investment Officer at Digital Realty, with responsibility for spearheading the company’s investment and other capital allocation activities. Prior to joining Digital Realty, Greg was Co-Head of Americas Real Estate and Managing Director of the Real Estate, Gaming & Lodging Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. During his tenure at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, he provided strategic and financial advice to clients across a broad spectrum of real estate, infrastructure and related sectors, including Digital Realty. In his capacity as an external advisor to Digital Realty, his strategic and financial expertise were integral to the execution of transactions that have been truly transformational for the company. He served as lead M&A advisor on the $1.9 billion acquisition of Telx, the $7.8 billion merger with DuPont Fabros and the $1.8 billion acquisition of Ascenty. Before his time at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Greg served as a Managing Director in the Real Estate & Lodging Group at Citigroup where he was responsible for originating and executing strategic advisory and capital raising assignments, as well as general client coverage. During his 25-year investment banking career, he successfully completed over $200 billion of M&A transactions, asset sales, joint ventures, public and private debt and equity offerings, and bank loans for clients. Many of these transactions have been the largest, most noteworthy deals in the REIT sector. For example, Greg led teams that acted as the sole sell-side advisor on the largest REIT merger in history and that served as an active bookrunner on the two largest REIT initial public offerings to date. Greg also worked at Trammell Crow Company in Washington, DC where he was a member of the finance team responsible for acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures, as well as construction and permanent debt financings across multiple product types.

Andrea established his own property development company in 2006 and built up a substantial portfolio of modern logistics assets for his own account over the following 8 years. Estienne de Klerk is the Chief Executive Officer of Growthpoint. He has over 25 years of experience in the listed property sector. During his career, he has been involved in various corporate action such as take-overs, mergers and acquisitions, transformation deals and capital raises. In 2002, he joined the Investec Property Group’s property fund management business where he was appointed Fund Manager and Executive Director of Metboard.
